painful hands… again…

painful hands… again…

so, a couple of updates…

first the patreon, the first round of content is done and can be viewed here (behance page).  i’ve got another web-version of the content coming up.  i’ll host it on my website, too.  the second round is underway and the photo above is the 95% complete drawing for the content based on toledo, spain (much to do with alchemy).  here’s a photo from that trip.

second, when i need to take a visual break from the patreon content, i like to make sheets of skulls.  it’s a great way to practice with new colors, textures, techniques, lighting, etc.  generally, what i learn with these sheets makes its way back into the patreon and professional work.  so, here’s a little sample from a sheet i’m working on, now!

the goya drawing is done.  scanned.  and being colored, right now.

i’m thinking about a monthly delivery schedule for the patreon project.  i’m also thinking about a 1.5-2 month delivery schedule… i’ll be able to deliver higher quality content if i allow that amount of time between pieces.  i have several commitments to juggle while being abroad and i’d like to maintain high quality art output. the first round of content is still good for a halloween delivery, though.

again, here’s some links to the patreon project and my mailing list - patreon / mailing list
